Tina Joins ‘In the Writers’ Room’ Masterclass

Tina was recently selected with other creatives to attended a writing workshop, In the Writers’ Room. Screenwest was absolutely thrilled to support In the Writers’ Room – a vibrant, one-day online masterclass hosted by the Australian Writers’ Guild (AWG).

This exciting professional development opportunity gave aspiring screenwriters such as Tina a front-row seat to the inner workings of a professional writers’ room. From the basics—like what a writers’ room actually is—to the finer points of etiquette and collaboration, the session was all about building real-world skills, boosting industry know-how, and connecting passionate creatives with like-minded peers and professionals.

In the Writers’ Room was proudly supported through the Industry Development – Workshops and Masterclasses Fund, made possible by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries as part of their commitment to strengthening WA’s screen industry workforce. This initiative was announced by the Hon David Templeman, Minister for Culture and the Arts, in 2024.
